With Portugal's (T)A-7P retirement by mid 1999 and the Royal Thai Navy ending (T)A-7E/C operations in 2004, Greece has become the World's sole Corsair II operator. Still fielding large numbers of (T)A-7H and second-hand ex US Navy A-7E airframes, Hellenic Air Force Corsairs continue to provide a credible strike capability. Aero Topics visited the ‘Hellenic Corsair Nest' at Araxos airbase to report on the aircraft's history and its imminent replacement by Block 52+ 'advanced' F-16C/Ds.
